What do you do at Blend Accountants?

I make sure that the businesses operations are running smoothly and oversee the financial management.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Blend Accountants?

The family atmosphere. I love coming in to work.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not at work?

I spend time with my family. It can be pretty full on taking my nine and four year old to Brownies, Rainbows and dancing. So at weekends we like to do something together, like going on a picnic.

I grew up with our MD and we share a passion for gaming; I used to cycle round to his nan’s house when we were young to play.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A fireman, but I’m scared of heights! I quite fancied leaping in to save the day but couldn’t get past rung three of the ladder.

If you could do one thing to change the world, what would it be?

I’d beat cancer and terminal disease.

How do you help put a smile on a customer’s face?

I’m a natural joker. If someone’s due a refund, I’ll get them to shout ‘Show me the money!’ down the phone like the Jerry Maguire film.

What cartoon character would you be?

I’d be Captain Hook, the comedy villain. He never wins but is so much fun. When we went to Disney, I turned the tables by making the kids line up with me while I waited to get an autograph from Captain Hook!
